They have petitioned Union Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi on Friday on the issue.
“We submitted the representations with relevant records. Amidst their busy schedule the ministers went through the representations in their chambers in the parliament and assured to look into the issue, conduct a fair enquiry and take necessary action,” Vice President of the federation and State President of Civil Explosives Traders and Users Syndicate, Tamil Nadu, (CETUS-TN) A Raja told DT Next.
The federation cited violating explosives rules in the production process, manipulation of records and cheating various departments that lead to the blast that claimed innocent lives. Raja said, “we have asked the minister to certify the unit as not fit to manufacture.”
