Woman murdered by husband in Villur
A woman was murdered on December 8 night by her husband after a domestic dispute.

Sources said that the victim Karuppayi had a verbal dispute with her husband Arumugam after dinner. Â During the course of the argument, Arumugam in a fit of rage stabbed Karuppayi with a sharp weapon at several places on her body. The woman died on the spot. Police said, their elder daughter Pandiammal, immediately informed the police and they rushed to the spot. Based on the complaint from Pandiammal, the Villur Police filed a murder case against Arumugam and arrested him. Police claimed that Arumugam and Karuppayi were married for 20 years and had three daughters. Arumugam was a history-sheeter and was arrested in a case recently. Karuppayi had struggled hard to take him on bail. Arumugam had always suspected her chastity and fought. A similar fight erupted on Thursday night and Arumugam murdered her, claim the police.
Unidentified body foundÂ
Meanwhile at Theni, body of an unidentified man was found on the road, on Friday. Onlookers found the body in the morning in front of the Nehru statue. Immediately police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. They say the age of the deceased could be around 40 years and they suspect it could be a case of murder.
