CHENNAI: Openers Kaushik Gandhi (148 batting off 262 balls, 15 fours) and B Sai Sudharsan (138 off 200 balls, 18 fours, 1 six) smashed centuries as Jolly Rovers CC posted a mammoth 327 for two against India Pistons CC at stumps on the opening day of the TNCA First Division match at the CPT-IP (Turf) Ground here on Sunday.

The right-left combination was involved in a 255-run partnership for the first wicket. With the hundred, the in-form Sai Sudharsan became the first batter to breach the 500-run mark this season.

Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Dharmendra Jadeja (6/81) scalped six wickets to help UFCC (T Nagar) reduce Sea Hawks CC to 275 for nine.

Elsewhere, S Mohamed Ali remained unbeaten on 106 (265 balls, 9 fours) to propel Globe Trotters SC to 272 for three against Vijay CC.

The match between Nelson SC and Madras CC will begin on Monday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
