Guru, Sathiyannaarayan sizzle in India Pistons win

CHENNAI: S Guru Raghavendran (158 not out off 250 balls, 13 fours) and off-spinner L Sathiyannaarayan (6/37) starred in the first and second innings respectively for India Pistons CC, which defeated Madras CC by an innings and 107 runs on the second day of the TNCA First Division 2022-23 match at the CPT-IP (Turf) Ground here on Wednesday.

Offie N Sunil Krishna (6/140) waged a lone battle for MCC, but his six-wicket haul eventually went in vain. At the Pachaiyappa’s College Ground, Nelson SC batter Swapnil K Singh, who began on his overnight score of 30, struck an unbeaten 145 (199 balls, 14 fours, 6 sixes) to power his team to 387 against Globe Trotters SC.
