Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi comes into the match high on confidence, having defeated Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Its opponent Hyderabad is the only winless side in the eight-team competition.

In the DC batting order, the onus will once again be on Shikhar Dhawan to lay the foundation. The senior statesman will have the young Prithvi Shaw for company at the other end. Iyer and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant have been among the runs and the duo would be keen to continue the good form.

All-rounder Marcus Stoinis has been a shining light with the bat, but hard-hitting Shimron Hetmyer is yet to come to the party.

South African pace-bowling pairing of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje has looked sharp while spinners Axar Patel and Amit Mishra have done the job well. Head coach Ricky Ponting would hope for more of the same from his bowlers.

Sunrisers, captained by David Warner, would be desperate to put its first points on the board. While skipper Warner and Jonny Bairstow are expected to come good, SRH will have to look beyond them to defeat a confident Delhi side.

As the batting unit is yet to click, Hyderabad might consider bringing Kane Williamson into the playing eleven. In the bowling department, Afghan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has been impressive.
