Dr Sivanthi Club is the Chennai champion
Dr Sivanthi Club posted a come-from-behind 3-2 win over Sports Hostel of Excellence in the summit clash to finish first at the Rathna Stores and COSCO Chennai District Women’s Volleyball Championship, held at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium here.

In the final, Dr Sivanthi Club got the better of Sports Hostel 14-25, 18-25, 25-13, 25-19, 15-13. The victor received a cash award of Rs 15,000 and bagged the ‘Ratna Stores’ Trophy while the runner-up team got a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and was handedthe ‘COSCO’ Trophy.
In the third-place play-off match, SDAT Hostel defeated Presidency Volleyball Academy to clinch the bronze medal.
While the former took home a cash prize of Rs 7,000, the latter was richer by Rs 5,000.
