Aasrit spins it Prithvi’s way

Batting first, Prithvi posted a decent total of 211 on the board, riding on half-centuries from N Balasubramanian (77) and L Ramnath (61). An onerous task in front of it in the second phase of the match, the victor did brilliantly with the ball. Leg-spinner A Aasrit was the wreaker-in-chief, scalping five wickets to bowl out Young Men’s for 126.

In a Fourth Division ‘B’ contest, Senthil Kumar Shanmugam (5/45) bagged a five-wicket haul to guide Mambalam Mosquitos to a two-wicket win over BSNL Chennai Telephones Recreation Club.
