Tamil Nadu goes down to Uttarakhand in one-sided duel
Jyoti Giri (80) and Kanchan Parihar (63 not out) scored half-centuries as Uttarakhand defeated Tamil Nadu by eight wickets in the BCCI Women Under-23 Elite C One-Day contest at the IITM - Chemplast Ground here on Wednesday.

Bowling first, the tourist restricted the host to 172 for six in its stipulated overs. Arshi Choudhary (67) continued her purple patch on a disappointing day for Tamil Nadu, stroking her way to a patient fifty. Requiring less than four runs per over, Uttarakhand cruised to the target in 42.3 overs, losing only two wickets in the process. Jyoti and Kanchan did the bulk of the scoring for the winning side, smashing 11 boundaries between them.
