BCCI Men Under-23: Rahul stars in Tamil Nadu victory
D Rahul (4 for 39 and 21 not out) came up with a brilliant all-round effort as Tamil Nadu edged Madhya Pradesh by one wicket in the BCCI Men Under-23 Elite A One-Day contest in Mandya on Thursday.

Batting first, Madhya Pradesh managed 232 off its stipulated overs, thanks to meaningful contributions from Ankush Tyagi (49) and Atul Kushwaha (52 not out). Rahul and RS Jaganath Sinivas (3/47) were top-notch with the ball for Tamil Nadu, scalping four and three respectively.
Chasing less than five runs an over, Tamil Nadu scampered to its target after losing nine wickets. No.10 batsman Rahul smashed two sixes off the first two deliveries of the final over to take his side past the finish line.
Brief scores: Madhya Pradesh 232 all-out in 49.2 overs (Nikhil Mishra 31, Pranjal Dixit 32, Ankush Tyagi 49, Atul Kushwaha 52*, D Rahul 4/39, RS Jaganath Sinivas 3/47) lost to Tamil Nadu 233 for 9 in 49.2 overs (GV Vignesh 42, S Lokeshwar 39, M Siddharth 30, D Rahul 21*, Prankesh Rai 4/23, Pankaj Patel 3/51).
