Sachin Tanwar’s five points and a collective effort from the defence ensured the visitor got all five points from the contest. Despite a defensive masterclass from Saurabh Nandal (8 points), the home side had to return empty-handed. Gujarat is now seventh on the table, with 30 points from 12 matches, while Bengaluru has 33 from the same.

In the second match of the day, U Mumba annihilated Jaipur Pink Panthers 47-21 courtesy a strong performance from its defenders. Fazel Atrachali (6 points) and Harendra Kumar (5 points) didn’t give an inch to the Pink Panthers raiders.

Raider Abhishek Singh (13 points) also notched up a ‘Super 10’ to secure an easy win over arch-rival Jaipur. U Mumba moved to fifth in the standings with 34 points, while Jaipur is third with 37, both from 12 matches each.
