Akshay’s ton does it for MCC

Batting first, MCC made 216 for seven, thanks to Akshay. The opener smashed eight boundaries and a solitary six. Young Stars initially chased a target of 217, but it was revised to 202 in 45 overs because of a brief spell of showers. YS was bowled out for 170 in 39.4 overs. P Praveen Kumar’s (100) century and GR Manish’s (5/51) five-wicket haul went in vain as Nelson was defeated by Alwarpet.
