Local League: Diran bowls Tamil Nadu to 10-wicket win

TN got seven points from this match including a bonus point for the 10-wicket win and topped the South Zone table with 26 points from six matches. TN qualified for the Inter-Zone leg.

Gujarat takes lead

Gujarat took a crucial 85-run lead against Tamil Nadu on the third day in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy for Under 23 – Elite Group A match at the TNCA Academy in Theni on Sunday.


Replying to TN’s first innings score of 329, Gujarat, which resumed at the overnight score of 148 for three, made 414 as captain Rahul Shah (152 off 322 balls with 15 fours and three sixes) and Manan Hingrajia (101 off 211 balls with 15 fours and one six) scored hundreds. The left-handed duo added 220 runs in 68 overs for the fourth wicket Incidentally, this was the maiden ton for the batsmen.

Delhi beats TN women

Tamil Nadu women lost to Delhi by 118 runs in the Senior Women One-Day League at the Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday. Electing to field, TN was punished by Delhi opener Priya Punia who struck 143 off 154 balls with 19 fours as her side totaled 261 for four in its 50 overs.


The highlight of the innings was a 102-run partnership off 61 balls for the fourth wicket between Priya and captain Reema Malhotra (51 not out off 30 balls). Delhi picked up four points for the win.
