Vijay Hazare Trophy: Services continues its winning run

Services continued its winning run by easing to a 102-run win over J&K in the Group C of the Vijay Hazare Trophy here on Monday. Asked to bat first, Services scored a huge 322 in 49 overs with Nakul Sharma scoring 123 (98b, 9x4, 6x6) while skipper Rajat Paliwal contributed 63 (66b, 9x4).

Rajat and Nakul added 150 runs in 130 balls for the fourth wicket. J&K skipper and off-spinner Parvez Rasool was impressive with the ball taking five for 62. In reply, J&K never looked like chasing the score as it was dismissed for 220 in 42.2 overs. Paras Sharma’s gritty knock of 93 (97b, 10x4, 1x6) went in vain. Services’ Arjun Sharma (4/43) and Nitin Tanwar (3/44) shared seven wickets between them.
