    Squash tournament from September 1

    Thriveni Academy Foundation and Development Centre will host a two Star National Circuit squash tournament at the Thriveni Academy, Hiranandani Parks, here.

    The event will be held from September 1 to September 5, 2018. It is conducted under the aegis of Squash Rackets Federation of India and Tamil Nadu Squash Racket Association. Around 185 participants from across the country are expected to be a part of it. The tournament will be played on a knock-out basis. 

    While there are four categories (Under-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17) for the juniors (includes both boys and girls), the seniors will vie for top spot only in the Under-19 category. Tamil Nadu’s Abhisheka Shannon is the top seed in Girls U-15 category, while seven-year-old Aroma from Uttar Pradesh will be the youngest representative in the tournament. She will compete in the Girls U-11 category. In the Boys section, Dakshesh Narain from TN and Delhi’s Tejas are the top seeds in the U-11 and U-17 categories respectively.
