TNPL 2018: Dindigul Dragons beat Tuti Patriots by 4 wickets

The Dragons also like their opposition started slow, losing opening batsman Hari Nishanth in the second over of the match. But an impressive show by R Vivek who smashed 62 runs off 32 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes set the base up for Mohammed to come later on and finish the match.

Mohammed who scored 36 (not out) runs from 24 balls, came to bat in the 11th over. He started slow but was able to keep his cool and help the Dragons cross the line with ease. 

Earlier in the match, Tuti Patriots started slowly with most of the top and middle order batsmen getting starts but were not able to convert them into big scores.

However, it was the well timed 101-run partnership between Rajagopal Sathish and Malolan Rangarajan that brought them back into the fight.

Rajagopal scored majority of the runs in the partnership hitting 74 runs off just 41 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes while Rangarajan scored 37 runs off 24 balls. The duo finally perished in the final over of the innings. 

Dragons' Rohit got injured in the penultimate over of the innings. M Silambarasan came in to bowl the remaining five balls of the over which resulted in three wickets including two run-outs.
