TNPL 2018: Tuti to face Veerans today
Fans at ICL Sankar Nagar Ground in Tirunelveli will enjoy an early start on Sunday as Tuti Patriots will take on VB Kanchi Veerans.

Tuti Patriots has been a dominant side in the previous two editions. It was the winner in the inaugural 2016 edition and finished runner-up to Chepauk Super Gillies in the next. The team will be hoping to go the distance this time as well. Patriots has retained some of its its major players in Ganesh Moorthy, Akash Sumra and Anand Subramanian.
It has further strengthened the side with the addition of match-winners like R Sai Kishore and R Sathish. Patriots will, however, miss the services of injured Washington Sundar.
Baba Aparajith-led Veerans will be hoping to make it to the Play-offs for the first time. The captain has expressed confidence and is banking on the energy of his young side. “Our approach this year will be to repeat the things that we did well in last year’s tournament and build on it. Hopefully this year, luck will be on our side. We have a lot of youngsters in the team this season, our average age is around 22-23. Once we start winning, the energy and momentum will help us in getting ahead,” said Aparajith.
Veerans also possesses experienced players in Subramania Siva, R Silambarasan and R Aushik Srinivas
