Naveen stars in YSCA win
Skipper V Naveen Kumar’s unbeaten 67 off 58 balls helped YSCA to an emphatic eight-wicket win over Accenture in the GR Kuppuswamy memorial league cum knockout tournament.

The win also took YSCA into the final where it will take on Apollo Tyres, which got the better of IBM in the other semi-final.
Set to chase 165 for a place in the final, Naveen Kumar and G Nagarajan 66 not out (76b, 5x4) added an unbroken 126 runs for the third wicket to guide their team home. In the second semi-final, Apollo Tyres scored 208 in its stipulated 30 overs with C Kubendran scoring 91. In reply, IBM was bowled out for 162.
Brief scores: Accenture 164 in 29.4 overs (Sachin Sudhakaran 40, Venkatesh 46) lost to YSCA 168/2 in 28.1 overs (G. Nagarajan 66*, V. Naveen Kumar 67*). Apollo Tyres 208/5 in 30 overs (C Kubendran 91, Prakash 48) bt IBM 162 in 29.4 overs (Sudhakar 72, Madan 3/33)
