We bowled as a pair: Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja has not had a fruitful season so far for Chennai Super Kings either with the bat or the ball. But the India left-arm spinner came to the CSK party at the right time on Saturday against Royal Challengers Bangalore bagging the Man of the Match (MoM) award for his figures of three for 18.

“It’s good to get MoM awards in a T20 game. I am looking to do better and better in the coming games,” he said at the presentation ceremony. And Mahendra Singh Dhoni summoned him early as the first spin option to bowl to Indi captain Virat Kohli. First ball, Kohli plays inside a straight ball and was bowled off-stump. Stunned by what he did, Jadeaja did not even celebrate; he put his hand on top of his head and he knew he had done the damage.
“It was my first ball and I was not ready to celebrate. Virat’s wicket is always a huge wicket, I was thinking I got a good wicket,” Jadeja said on Kohli’s dismissal.
In fact, veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh was Dhoni’s go to man along with Jadeaja on Sunday. Together, they bowled eight overs on a trot from the seventh over and when they had finished the Royal Challengers score read 87 for six after 14 overs. The script was wwell played out for MS Dhoni, who did not have many bowling performances from his men so far. Jadeja’s four overs went for only 18 runs for three wickets and Bhajji’s four fetched him two for 22.
“I am really happy, I was enjoying my bowling, wicket was little dry and I was bowling in the right areas and was enjoying my rhythm today,” Jadeaja said during the innings break..”Bhajji from the other end was also bowling very well, he took the important wicket of ABD. We bowled as a pair and that is required as a bowling unit. We have a very good batting line-up so we should not worry about the total much. We need to bat the 20 overs and we will get the desired result,” he added.
