Local League: Raji propels Old Boys SA to win

Old Boys SA posted 291 for seven in its stipulated 50 overs. Chasing 292, Perungulathur was skittled out for 190 in 45.5 overs courtesy Raji’s five-wicket haul. In the fifth division championship play-off match, V Vijaysarathi scalped six wickets to help State Bank of India Recreation Club beat Park Town Recreation Club by 55 runs in a low-scoring match.

M Sabari Prabhu scored an unbeaten 40 as Southern Railway Sports Association defeated Bunts Cricket Club by five wickets in the TNCA third division ‘B’ match here. His knock included six sixes off an over, which acted as a catalyst in Southern Railway chasing down the target of 148 in 32.3 overs.
