Deepan wins thriller against Palani in the MSBA Non-Ranking 6 Red Tourney

Deepan started with an easy victory in the first two frames. Both Palani and Deepan managed to win one frame each in the third and fourth frames respectively. 

Palani made a dramatic turnaround and dominated his opponent in the next two frames to level the match score 2–2. Palani took a slender 15 point lead in the deciding frame, which went in vain, when Deepan made a remarkable came back and started clearing the table with the last red with Yellow, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue and missing the pink ball in the long pocket. 

After a few safety shots, Palani left the Pink ball hanging in the Yellow pocket for Deepan to complete the formalities. Palani was never considered a real threat, but on the day, he showed it was not easy to write him off. Shoaib from Q Lounge also sailed into pre-quarterfinals by defeating Yazar in the deciding frame. 

Hameed posted a win over Madhur, one among the title contenders. Despite facing a sturdy opponent, Hameed played good safety shots and combined it with sound potting to afford no chance to his rival and held firm to earn a deserving victory, with a 4 – 2 match score.
