SRM to meet Southern Railway in men’s final of All-India Volleyball tournament

In the first match of the day, Southern Railway defeated Cochin Customs in five sets. Southern Railway lost first two sets, by scorelines of 26-24 and 25-20 but bounced back in the remaining three sets to win the match. The final score stood at 24-26, 20-25, 25-21,25-20 and 1507, in favour of Southern Railway. 

The other match was played between SRM and Kerala State Electricity Board(KSEB)-Tiruvananthapuram, Former defeated the later in five sets. Both the teams exhibited great show and won alternate sets. However, in the fifth and final set, SRM easily overpowered KSEB and entered finals. The final score stood at 18-25, 25-20, 16-25, 26-24 and 15-07. 

In the women’s category, Sports Authority of India(SAI)-Kerala defeated South Central Railways (SCR) in three straight sets. Though SCR went down in straight sets, they put on a quality fight in all the three sets. The final score was 30-28, 25-21 and 26-24.
