Syed Asim rallies to score upset win against Sainath in the TMCA Madras snooker tournament

In the deciding frame, Asim played defensively and kept his sturdy opponent below the baulk line to win it in style. 

In another encounter, from a seemingly lost position of 0–2, Dhyan pulled off a thrilling victory against Imran Ganj of Madras Race Club. He came back with strong potting and lot of safety shots to claim victory in the next three frames to win 3-2 in style.

Vinay Kothari of SVS club kick started with an impressive 57 break in the first frame against Saravanan of TNCA, which also happened to be the highest break of the tournament. He thrashed his opponent three frames to nil in the best-of-five frame match.
