Local League: Selvaganapathy delivers stunning spell
U Selvaganapathy took five wickets to help Tiruchy complete an easy six-wicket win over Madurai in the TNCA Inter-Districts tournament for the SS Rajan Trophy in Dindigul.

Madurai was reduced to 146 for seven in its 50 overs courtesy Selvaganapathy’s stunning spell. Tiruchy reached the total in 19 overs with Krishnan Mohandoss top-scoring with 68 runs.Â

Niranjan guides George Town to easy win
N Niranjan scored 126 runs as George Town United Club registered a 36-run victory over Amar Cricket Club in the TNCA fifth division ‘D’ match here.Â
Niranjan’s ton propelled George Town to a mammoth 343 runs in its 50 overs. He was ably supported by Suresh Kumar who scored 87 runs. In a sixth division ‘A’ game, R Ragupathy smashed 164 runs, helping Presidency College AA defeat Varsity Occasionals by a huge margin of 174 runs.Â
