Russell happy to be associated with CSK
“I feel super excited and blessed to be a part of the best T20 team and management in the world,” Russell Radhakrishnan told the official website of Chennai Super Kings after the franchise announced that he is to continue as team manager, a responsibility that he held for all eight seasons in the opening decade.

“I’m grateful to the management and skipper (MS) Dhoni for their continued faith,” added Radhakrishnan, who served as manager and logistics manager of the Indian team between December 2006 and November 2009, including the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa that India clinched under Dhoni.
“I’m looking forward to many super years. I can’t wait for the 2018 season to start and make sure that our fans get a lot of updates,” concluded Radhakrishnan.
The Lions won the IPL twice, finished runners-up on four occasions and qualified to the Playoffs in all eight seasons between 2008 and 2015 to emerge as one of the most successful franchises in the competition.
The 11th edition kicks off on April 7 with CSK taking on defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. “Russell is very methodical in what he does. He has worked with the Indian team and has been with CSK for a decade,” said KS Viswanathan, CEO, CSK.
