This was TN’s third defeat in four matches which means it’s last match against Hyderabad on Saturday will be inconsequential. Opting to bat first, TN was bowled out for 204 in the 50th over. In-form opener B Anirudh Sitaram was once again the top scorer with 45 as no batsman could cross the halfcentury mark.Â
In reply, Karnataka opener Devdutt Padikkal led from the front with a strokeful unbeaten 86 (135b, 6x4) while captain D Nischal contributed with a crucial 41. TN legspinner M Abhinav’s effort of three for 37 went in vain. Karnataka chased down the score with three overs remaining. Â
