Tamil Nadu storms into final

Tamil Nadu got off the blocks in great fashion, holding a 14-point lead at the end of the first quarter. It extended it further in the second quarter, leading 51-32 at the half way mark. Despite a few setbacks at the start of the fourth quarter, TN made sure it did enough to not allow Punjab to claw its way back towards the final stages. 

It was Tamil Nadu’s second win over Punjab as the host won against it in the group stages of the championship as well. In the other semi-final, Services defeated Indian Railways 93-65. 

In the women’s category, Tamil Nadu got the better of Delhi by 20 points, finishing at 86-66 at the end of the game. Defending champion Kerala bowed out of the championship after losing by a 13-point margin to Indian Railways. Indian Railways registered a 76-63 win.  In the other semi-final, Chhattisgarh defeated Karnataka 79-78 in a  nail-biting contest.
