Extra-time blow for Tamil Nadu women against Chhattisgarh
The Tamil Nadu women’s team did everything right in its match against Chhattisgarh at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Thursday. However, it lost its way in the five-minute extra time and lost 83-93 in a Group A match.

There was enough drama in the match as the Chhattisgarh women looked set to win the match by a big margin at one stage. Going into the second half, the visitor had taken a 13-point lead.
And in the last few seconds, the host was trailing by three points (74-77) when Srividhya rose to the occasion and converted a three-pointer to make it a tie. TN had earlier defeated Madhya Pradesh 68-48 in its opening game of the campaign on Wednesday.
In other games held on the day, Indian Railways, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Delhi came up trumps against Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala and Telangana respectively.
