Local League: Kapil, Venkatesh hog the limelight

Chasing 161, Parthasarathy MCC could manage only 149 as Kapil and G Naveen Kumar (3/57) shared eight wickets. In the Lucas TVS Thiruvallur DCA Trophy, N Venkatesh bowled brilliantly to finish with figures of six for 39 as he helped Samsung India to a 19-run win over Heavy Vehicles Factory.
