St Joseph’s qualifies for knockouts
St Joseph’s Engineering College registered a hard-fought win over Indian Bank, Chennai on day four of the 67th Senior State Volleyball Championship at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium here on Thursday.

It won 27-25, 27-25 and booked its spot in the quarter-finals of the event. Chennai Spikers won an easy game against Customs, Chennai 25-13, 25-20. St Joseph’s Engineering College and Chennai Spikers will go head-to-head to seal a spot in the final four of the championship. In the women’s category, PKR, Gobi got past Panimalar College 25-16, 25-17, 25-11 to make its way into the semi-final of the tournament. In a playoff game, Tamil Nadu Police got the better of PSGR Krishnammal 25-20, 18-25, 25-9.
