Electing to bat, TN dictated terms as Lakshay and Mohana Kumar added 207 runs for the second wicket in 78.1 overs. Incidentally, all three TN wickets came via run-out. Southpaw Lakshay slammed nine fours in his knock while his partner Mohana Kumar was circumspect to begin with but batted with more aggression creaming 18 boundaries as the duo frustrated the Kerala bowlers and played on their patience.
