    India fought hard before going down to England 2-3 in the Hockey World League here on Saturday.

    England dominated the first half and led 1-0 at half time. But India came back into the match strongly in the second half but in the end a stunning goal by Samuel Ward sealed the host’s fate in the 57th minute. 
    In fact, all the four goals in the second half came in the space of 14 minutes. England had scored through David Good field in the 25th minute. Samuel Ward made it 2-0 in the 43rd minute.
    Akashdeep Singh reduced the margin after a penalty-corner in the 48th minute and Rupinder equalized with another penalty-corner conversion.
    In Pool B, Germany is leading with four points from two games, followed by England on three, Australia on two and India is at the bottom with one point.
