    Green Rockers won a tightly contested encounter against La Black Thunder, dominating through the middle period. Jeppiaar Smashers and Hindustan King Pongs were at their rampaging best over Mahee Warriors and Billroth Blasters respectively in the second qualifying round of the inaugural Table Tennis Super League-Tamil Nadu (TTSL-TN) at Forum Vijaya Mall in the city on Saturday.

    Nithin Thiruvengadam of Jeppiaar Smashers had a day to remember winning all his games against tournament’s top buy E Prabhakaran. Mobi Chargers defeated Refex Avengers 6-3. Veteran Player R Rajesh of the Hindustan King Pongs Team and Vijay Babu of La Black Thunders remained unbeaten in the first two rounds of the qualifying league matches.

    Jeppiaar Smashers was on top of Group B with 220 points while Hindustan King Pongs lead Group with 150 points. Group A seemed to be more tightly contested when compared to Group B after the second qualifying round. Mahee Warriors was the least scoring team in the tournament with only 80 points in its kitty.
