    City I, City II triumph

Thanks to Badrinath Annadurai’s 61, City I managed to take a one-run lead over City III in the TNCA Round Robin U-14 tournament here on Wednesday. That slender margin was enough for City I to win the match by virtue of first innings lead. City III bowler Vedansh B Shah produced an impressive spell of three for 22 but it went in vain. In another match, City II was declared winner after taking a 22-run lead over City IV.

In a low scoring match, City IV was restricted to 145. Riding on S Mohamed Ali’s 93, City II succeeded in snatching a match-winning lead of 22 runs. AK Arjun was the pick of the bowlers for City IV finishing with three for 34. In the 27 overs possible in its second innings, City IV struggled its way to 53 runs and losing four wickets.
