Tamil Nadu’s S Ajith Ram stole the thunder as he took six for 43 to restrict Jharkhand to 195 on the first day of the Group A Cooch Behar U-19 trophy at Bokaro on Sunday.

Opting to bat first, Jharkhand could manage only a modest score of 195 with Aditya Singh scoring 71 (125b, 13x4) and Aryaman Sen contributing 30. None of the other batsmen could make any impact. At close of play, TN was 14 for one.

Bowlers shine in Seshadhri win
Bowlers S Raghunath (4/18) and A Veera Babu (4/24) combined to help Seshadhri MCC to a 40-run win over Parthasarathy MCC in the TNCA-Thiruvallur DCA league. After getting bowled out for 135, Seshadhri bowlers rose to the occasion to skittle out its opponent for a paltry 95.
