Tamil Nadu openers Aditya Barooah 95 (198b, 8x4) and Tushar Raheja 65 (128b, 10x4, 1x6) laid a strong foundation with a 124-run stand in 240 balls. Barooah was unfortunate to have fallen short of his hundred by just five runs.Â
Off-spinner Pranav Karia claimed three for 60 while medium pacer Bhavyesh Donga took two for 40. R Sonu Yadav was batting on 26.Â

Tamil Nadu topped the table in Elite ‘B’ of Colonel CK Nayudu U-23 trophy with 20 points and qualified for knockout stages after a 189-run win over Kerala at Wayanad on Monday.
Resuming from 92 for four in its chase of 361, Kerala could only score 171 in 53.2 overs and fell way short of the target. Rohan S Kunnummal was the highest scorer with 53 and F Fanoos, who shone with the ball taking seven wickets, made 36. Hat-trick man Ashwath Mukunthan bagged three wickets while Samruddh Bhat and S Mohan Prasath shared four wickets between them. Tamil Nadu received six points for the win.Â
