Sriram Vidhiya Mandir, Gurusamy HSS trade wins

In the junior boys’ qualifying match at Don Bosco, Perambur, Dr Gurusamy HSS began on a triumphant note, walloping Sriram Vidhiya Mandir 5-0. R Gokul and S Sathish with two goals each led the charge for the victorious team. 

Gokul scored in the 10th and the 33rd minute while Sathish claimed his two in the 16th and the 36th minute. In between, D Thanush helped himself to one in the 12th minute to make it a comprehensive win for the Dr Gurusamy Boys. Sriram Vidhiya Mandir, however, exacted revenge a couple of hours later, beating Dr Gurusamy HSS 4-2 in a senior boys’ clash. 

Kumresh turned out to be the star in his team’s victory, notching up two goals in the space of a minute, close to the 30-minute mark.
