Haryana, UPCA, Kerala win
Haryana held its nerve to beat Saurashtra by one-wicket in the Kalpathi AGS Buchi Babu tournament here on Wednesday to keep alive its semi-final hopes.

Resuming from its overnight score of 101 for four, Haryana’s Rohit Sharma 85 (142b, 9x4) in the company of Guntash Veer Singh, added 75 runs for the fifth wicket in 23.1 overs. For Saurashtra, off-spinner Vandit Jivrajani took three wickets for 42 runs while skipper Jaydev Unadkat picked two.Â
At SRMC, UPCA overcame Mumbai by five wickets to register its first win. Requiring a further 196 runs at the day’s start, UP found its saviours in Eklavya Dwivedi 81 (142b, 11x4, 2x6) and Akshdeep Nath 81 (108b, 13x4)who raised 118 runs for the fourth wicket in 25.5 overs. Medium pacer Anjdeep Lad scalped three wickets for 64 runs for the losing team.
Meanwhile, Kerala bounced back strongly from its opening round defeat to TNCA President’s XI, by recording a 240-run win over Assam at the CPT-IP ground. Chasing 381, Assam was bundled out for a paltry 140 as Kerala’s KM Asif wreaked havoc taking six for 22.
