Indian Army to meet IOB in final

In the first semi-finals, IOB beat Vijaya Bank, Bengaluru, 74-62 to secure a berth in the final.Â
IOB showed domination over Vijaya Bank in the first three quarters 23-13, 44-28 and 63-43. Vijaya Bank outsmarted IOB in the last quarter scoring 19 points against just 11 by the latter. However, this was not enough to avoid a 12 point defeat to IOB. Prasana Venkatesh (24) and Sivabalan (17) were the stars of IOB. Karthikeyan (17) and Anil Kumar (16) top scored for Vijaya Bank.
Indian Army beat Punjab Police 73-65 in the second semi finals to make it to the finals. Army maintained a marginal lead over the Police to finally win the game by eight points. Gokul Ram (21) and Issac T Thomas (16) top scored for Indian Army, while Amjyot Singh (24) and Rajbir Singh (10) top scored for Punjab Police.
