Tuti maintains clean slate after victory
SP Nathan cracked a 33-ball 77 with nine sixes and two fours as Albert Tuti Patriots thrashed Madurai Super Giant by a mammoth 137 runs at the NPR College ground in Natham on Sunday to maintain its 100 per cent record in the 2017 TNPL 2017. Madurai, on the contrary, lost its seventh match in a row to finish its campaign without a single victory.

Tuti recovered from the loss of Washington Sundar and Kaushik Gandhi who were dismissed before the end of the powerplay. SP Nathan took his time to settle down. Tuti reached 196 for six in 20 overs. Madurai lost wickets at regular intervals.Â
Arun Karthik (23), Chandran (10) and Amarnath (10) were the only batsmen who reach double figures. Ganesh Moorthi was the wrecker-in-chief taking three wickets. Madurai was skittled for 59, the lowest score in the TNPL and finished their campaign without a single win.
Brief scores: Albert Tuti Patriots 196/6 in 20 overs (SP Nathan 77, Anand Subramanian 33, M Poiyamozhi 3/32, Suresh Kumar 2/7) beat Madurai Super Giant 59 all out in 8.5 overs (Arun Karthick 23, Ganesh Moorthi 3/20, Aushik Srinivasan 2/7) by 137 runs.
