Chepauk Super Gillies? R Sai Kishore was in top form against Karaikudi Kaalai

The spinner struck in his first over to remove R Srinivasan and then removed four others including the prized scalp of the well set S Lokeshwar.  In a chat, Kishore reflected on his bowling, the TNPL and more.

How much have you improved from the last season?

The mindset has changed dramatically compared to last year. I was lacking the experience in Twenty20s and limited-overs format, but now playing for Tamil Nadu and coming into the second season of TNPL has given me the edge and confidence to go about my bowling.

Do you think you have matured a little?

Yes, definitely. A year can do a lot to a person. I have grown as a person in the last one year.

Talk us through the match against Karaikudi

It felt good and I wasn’t expecting a five-wicket haul. I just bowled like I normally do. I am happy I could contribute to my team by picking up five wickets.

    How was the wicket like?

It was a good wicket, but it did stop a little. Maybe it was due to the rain. It was a two-paced wicket and there was something for the bowler. We exploited it.

What is the one aspect about the team which makes it stand out?

The biggest thing about our team is we aren’t dependent on any individual. In each of our four games, we have had different match-winners. These are all very good points for the team. We are looking to improve by one per cent every game and that is a good sign.
