Albert Tuti Patriots comes into this game on a three-match winning streak as well as with the confidence of having beaten Chepauk Super Gillies twice last season. On the other hand, Chepauk Super Gillies will look to get even this season; after getting off to the perfect start with two wins in two games.
Tuti Patriots will be bolstered by the arrival of Dinesh Karthik to the squad. The openers, Washington Sundar and Kaushik Gandhi, have done a wonderful job for them this season and their consistency has helped them to three wins.
Sundar is the leading run-getter this season with 180 runs while fellow opener Gandhi is not far behind with 123 runs. While Aswin Crist missed the last game due to a strain, the bowlers still kept picking up wickets.
Chepauk Super Gillies has started their season on a great note. Captain R Satish has provided them the perfect starts by bowling his four overs in the powerplay and choking the batsmen for runs.
R Alexander and Sai Kishore have been at their economical best. The batting has ably been held by KH Gopinath, Thalaivan Sargunam and S Karthik. The side has three all-rounders R Satish, Yo Mahesh and Antony Dhas who can hit the ball at will on their day.
Alexander of Super Gillies, who addressed the media, said it will be a good match. “We need to follow our plans properly. We are following whatever plans have been set by our coach Hemang Badani, captain Sattyanna and all the senior players and hence we are getting results. We will continue following their advice and look forward to keep our winning form going,” said Alexander.
