Tuti’s bowling effort was too good: Aushik
Albert Tuti Patiots all-rounder Aushik Srinivas said it was a great bowling effort from his side that enabled it to trounce Ruby Trichy Warriors by 10 wickets at Natham on Wednesday night. It was a perfect card for Turi as it chased down the 120-run target in style:

“I think our bowling effort was just too good today. Ditto with our batting. We were able to express ourselves,” Aushik said after the match. Aushik agreed it was a combination of good bowling and poor batting that saw Tuti restrict Ruby to 120. Aushi also praised Tuti’s opening pair, Washington Sundar (49 not out) and Kaushik Gandhi (72 not out) for not losing a wicket in the chase.
“I think it’s a very healthy sign because Washington Sundar is able to bowl and bat. Kaushik has been in very solid form since the last season. So it’s a good sign but we have to keep planning just in case a wicket falls early. The onus is on the batsmen to keep planning,” Aushik explained.
Aushik said the fact that Tuti’s top players such as Dinesh Karthik, Abhinav Mukund and L Balaji have not been available has hurt the team but it could not be avoided. “Players like Dinesh Karthik, Abhinav Mukund and L Balaji always add value to any team. They’ve been playing in the IPL for so long. So their experience is what matters,” he said. Aushik admitted the Tuti catching needed to improve.”
We missed a few catches today. There was also a misfield. So we need to improve our fielding. The batting has been very good. The bowling department will have to work on the death overs. We will keep working on whatever we can,” he signed off.
