Tamil Nadu, RCF register wins

The ninth edition of all-India hockey tournament organised by KR Medicine and Educational Trust had commenced at the newly inaugurated synthetic ground at Kovilpatti on May 5 and 16 teams from across the country had participated in the tournament that is conducted under floodlights. 

On Wednesday, three matches were conducted. In the first match East Coast Railway team played with ONGC New Delhi-Odisha team. Right from the beginning the two teams were on par with each other and in the end finished with three goals each. 

In the second match Tamil Nadu XI defeated Central Secretariat team by three goals to two and in the final match RCF, Kapurthala defeated SAI, Bhopal by four goals to one.
