PV Sindhu clinches China Open
Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu clinched her first ever Super Series Premier title after defeating Sun Yu of China in the final of China Open here today.

The Rio Olympic Silver medalist made a comeback in the final set to seal the game. After an arduous battle of 69 minutes, Sindhu defeated Sun Yu by 21-11, 17-21, 21-11. In the first half Sun Yu failed to keep up with Sindhu's speed and agility and Sindhu grabbed the set by 21-11. But in the second set China's local favourite clawed her way back in and won the set by 17-21.Â
The 21-year-old Hyderabadi maintained her calm to clinch the deciding set and the title by 21-11.
Sindhu became the second Indian after Saina Nehwal to clinch China Open Super series. Saina won the title back in 2014.
