Chennaiyin FC are in high spirits after their home win against FC Pune City, however, the defending champions have been below par this season. Chennaiyin FC coach Marco Materazzi said that the win against FC Pune City has been an important one. “We don’t have any specific plans against Iain Hume or Atletico de Kolkata. We will play our natural game,” Materazzi added.

Over the past week Kolkata has been unsuccessful in tasting victory, drawing both the matches they have played. Kolkata’s coach Jose Molina seemed to be confident with the team and the players that they will be in the semi-finals. “I don’t live in the past; I live in the present. Chennaiyin FC is a strong team; they have good players and strong defense. We have to give our 100 percent to win on Sunday," added Molina.

Chennaiyin FC have just one win against Atletico de Kolkata in all the seasons of the Indian Super League. With one point separating the two teams Sunday's game promises to be a cracker of a match.
