Inter-college basketball commences

The event was inaugurated by Thoothukudi SP Ashwin Kotnis. In the first match played in the women’s section between MOP Vaishnav College, Chennai and Yadava College, Madurai, MOP defeated Yadava College 42-21.

In the second match played in the men’s section SRM University beat Sathyabama University 80-57. The event is jointly organised by Sterlite Copper, TMB and Thoothukudi District Basketball Association. 

Men: Jeppiar Institute of Technology bt PSNA College of Engineering 65-45; Hindustan University bt Loyola College 57-49. 

Women: Hindustan University bt Jeppiar Institute of Technology 51-39.
