Mixed luck for Police, Railway

Kerala Police women crushed Western Railway 25-23, 25-16, 25-17 in the first match. In the second match, the same teams played in the men’s section and Western Railway defeated Kerala Police 28-26, 25-15, 25-14.

Seven teams are participating in men’s section and four teams are participating in women’s section. The winners of the tournament in the men’s category would receive Rs.75,000 as the first prize. Runners and second runners in the men’s category would receive Rs.50,000 and 25,000 respectively. In the women’s section, the winners would get Rs.50,000 meanwhile the runners and second runners would get Rs.30,000 and Rs.20,000 respectively. Apart from that best players in the tournament would also be awarded. 

Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by TMB, MD and CEO, Upendra Kamath, and Tirunelveli DIG Dinakaran.
