Cricket could be included in Olympics: McGrath

“With the advent of rugby at the Olympics, I cannot see why cricket shouldn’t be allowed. I liked it when cricket was included in the Commonwealth Games. Although, I missed out due to an injury it was good to see the sport getting recognised,” McGrath added.

The England-Australia rivalry continued into the Olympics and McGrath said he was disappointed to see Australia not finish with a good haul of gold medals. “It is very disappointing. I thought we had the best chance in the swimming pool. We haven’t done well as we would have liked. The English are up there always. They have the right practices in place and are getting the rewards,” he said.
