The team name — Chepauk Super Gillies, was suggested by S. Kannan of Madurai, L. Balaji of Tiruvallur and I. Abubakkar of Thiruthuraipoondi. The trio shared the prize money of Rs. 1 lakh. J. Johnson Anandhakumar of Coimbatore was the winner in ‘Design-the-Logo’ contest and was awarded Rs. 1 lakh.
The response to the contest was phenomenal with the winners, decided by a panel of experts — Gautam Vasudev Menon, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and Hemang Badani, shortlisted from a whopping 12,000 entries for the name contest and 850 entries for the logo contest.
