India’s head coach Anil Kumble has been bringing reforms in the cricket team as soon as he took charge. In a latest development, Kumble came up with an innovative idea of forming a committee that to ensure punctuality among players.
New Delhi
The head coach appointed fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar as committee chairman. A fine of $50 will be imposed on players coming late. While Cheteshwar Pujara will collect fines from players, opener Shikhar Dhawan will be attending to queries related to the fine. “There is a new fine committee. It relates to punctuality and other rules which have been framed. If players don’t arrive on time and if there is any other related issues (indiscipline), they have to pay fines. In the fine committee, I am there. I am the chairman. Pujara will collect the fines and there is Shikhar who will handle the appeals,” Bhuvneshwar said in a video posted on BCCI’s Twitter handle.
